『信心並不是運用意志的力量來說事情必將成功，
乃是看準這個事實：神既說過這件事必將成功，
這是實在的；於是就安息下去，因為神已經說過了。
信心能把應許變作預言，
光是應許，還須我們方面沒有攔阻，才能實現。…
我在各處，常聽見人…求神給他們更多的信心；
但是當我仔細聽他們禱告的時候，
我就發現他們所要的…乃是更多的眼見。
信心並不說：「我看這件事是對我有益的，…」；
信心乃是說：「這件事是神成功的，所以必定是對我有益的。」
信心，在黑暗中與神同行的時候，
只求一件事：求神緊緊握住它的手。…』
